If you trash this kettle and handle it without care, the finish might chip or the lid might break, but just... don't do that? I was choosing between this and the 3x more expensive Caraway kettle (which has its own share of bad reviews); very glad I went with this option.
Most anticlimactic kettle ever! Not worth the price
The non-traditional 'whistle' is my favorite part though - sounds like a weird electrical hum when it's boiling
took me a while to adjust my brain to the sound - kept saying, 'what the hell is that noise?'.
It looks just like a curling stone and i love its functionality and aesthetic

Pros:
1) The look of this thing is very modern. I like the look. Since it came exactly like the picture you can decide for yourself if you like the matte black color and the way the handle is attached.
2) I also find the sound it emits when the water is ready soothing. It's less shrill than the kettle I grew up with.
3) Would make a nice gift if you know that your recipient would appreciate the shape/style. I mean it doesn't look "cheap" or poorly made. It looks attractive and well-built
Cons:
1) Although it was advertised as the same size as the kettle I was replacing, it seems to have less volume practically speaking, when I use it. Perhaps it is not the fault of the maker, as in maybe my old kettle held MORE than advertised, I can't say. I can only observe that while advertised as the same volume, they were not. Since we drink tea daily, that was kind of a disappointment.
2) the top is a little awkward to open and refill, since the handle is immobile you have to pore around it. My other kettles had handles that would drop to the side to get them out of the way, but this is a small complaint and there's no fix for it since I DO like the modern lines of the design.
All in all I'm glad I bought it. I hope it lasts longer than the last kettle I bought. The last one I bought at a discount store, in a pinch because I needed something immediately and it rusted (!) on the outside, in less than 5 years. It wasn't leaking yet, but I knew it would need to be eventually replaced. So I had plenty of time to explore possibilities before I chose this one, and I must say, if I had it to do over again I'd chose this one again. Fingers crossed it lasts longer than the last one since I paid more for it, but even if it lasts an equal duration I still like this one better

L’eau à l’intérieur reste chaude longtemps, super.
Par contre, elle ne siffle pas du tout, donc il faut être attentif.
